How non-violence peace activists succeeded to defeat the Torture Machine in Sudan.
In his beautiful writing style, the artist/activist Samih Elsheikh shares in this post how his neighbors in Khartoum North responded to the Muslim Brothers' Ghost Houses system.
The Agrab Square torture house was finally closed down by the people yesterday when they stormed out the place and forced the security scumbags to flee. The same people who were exposed to the worst torture methods had their day of justice. However, like the noble slogan of this revolution, the activists refused to destroy and burn down the place as some angry persons wanted to do this.
Finally the neighborhood will sleep in peace without hearing the cries of the torture victims at night.

في بداية الحراك والانتفاضة بالسودان كان القمع الشديد هو دافع الثوار للمقاومة من أجل الكرامة كنا نرى المقاطع واستبسال الثوار في مقاومة نادرة عن لشتى انواع القمع عن طريق سلميتهم وعدم الجنح للانتقام وقد تحقق ذلك بعد اتحاد الثوار واتفاقهم. نقل لي أحد أصدقائي من الثوار بالخرطوم بحري انه تم القبض عليه وتم تعذيبه وآخرين من الثوار بأحد المنازل بالقرب من ميدان عقرب وبعدها بايام تم القبض على بن اخت صديقي وتم ضربه وتعذيبه بنفس المنزل وقبله احد اقربائي تم اعتقاله وضربه وتعذيبه بنفس المنزل.
نقلت لي ايضا صديقة تسكن بالحي انهم يسمعون أصوات انين وصراخ لنساء ورجال اثناء المرور ليلا امام هذا المنزل. بعدها بأيام ابتدأت ملامح السقوط وهجم الثوار على المنزل وكادوا ان يحرقوه بعد ان هرب الكجر والزبانية المأجورين من عبيد السلطة السابقة وتدخل العقلاء وحالوا دون احراق المنزل
نقلت لي نفس الصديقة بالأمس خبرا جميلا مفاده انه قد تم إخلاء بيت الأشباح هذا بالكامل.
